We have some more stock of the
Coastal Kits bases in today including
a new style which will display two ships. If you
haven't seen these before, they are photographic representations of
the sea with a satin finish on 3mm thick foam board which are ideal
for a quick and easy way to display your waterline ship models.
These are available with or without a wake effect
and now come in three sizes ideal for 1/1200, 1/700 or small 1/350
ships. Prices start at £6.00.
A restock of Combrig kits is on the way, we will also soon be
stocking Aoshima ship model kits from Japan, both should be here in
time for Telford.
The Algerine will hopefully be available at Telford in small
numbers, the quality of the 3d print has meant that to get a perfect
cast is proving difficult, but it will be achieved although a little
delay is the result.
A bit behind on the news
updates, I will try to keep these more regular in future!
Today we have a restock of Flyhawk items including the superb HMS
Hermes kit, also we have the new Royal Navy aircraft set II which
includes Walrus and Fairey Seafox aircraft. More recently new
products include a new line of bases from Coastal Kits, these are
photographic sea bases on foam board which make for an easy and very
of showing off your waterline ships. There are bases available
with or without wake effect.
The 1/700 Algerine kit should be out by the end of the month, just
waiting on casting at the moment.
Starling Models will be at the
following shows -
IPMS Scale Modelworld, 12th & 13th November,
Telford International Centre.
Welcome to Starling Models
We are a UK
based specialist, small scale ship model retailer and etch producer
stocking kits and accessories in 1/350 and 1/700. We stock
L'Arsenal, Combrig, Niko, AJM Models, 3dmodelparts, Trumpeter, Hobby Boss, Lion Roar, IBG,
Orange Hobby, Master Barrel, Samek, Dodo Models, Lifecolor paints and our own brand Starling Models. More
kit and accessory producers are being added all the time.
With the Starling Models brand we aim to produce top quality, good value products for the
modeller, we will not make expensive 'super sets' but provide the basic
details which will enhance your ship models. For those with an
interest in smaller scale aircraft, we will aim in time to
specialise in 1/144 scale.
Starling Models will also be re-releasing some of the 'semi-kits' previously
available through the Fine Waterline range. These provide the
basic parts needed to make a model, with smaller parts being supplied
from your own spares box as identified in the instructions. These are an
inexpensive way of building a model of some naval and merchant vessels
not otherwise available in the scale and can be built with as much
detail as the modeller wants.
